[5440 note: originally published 5 March 13 at WatchdogWire.org/Oregon. This post has been reproduced in its entirety here for the sake of posterity.] Senator Ginny Burdick (D-18) has long been a proponent of regulating the purchase and ownership of firearms. As we reported last week, gun legislation has been a very hot topic in Oregon […]

Daylight Dissed! Oregonian Trots Out Smear Expert To Attack Citizen Journalist.

Oregonian reporter Harry Esteve smeared City of Springfield. Had to apologize on TV and in print.

You have to laugh about the Oregonian trotting out their most egregious hit-piece artist to attack me because I caught Governor Kitzhaber … wait for it … shopping for eggplant!  I ran into the Governor while he was at shopping at QFC and YouTubed the bizarre coincidence for laughs, and because well, it’s my First Amendment […]

Caught In Lie, Oregon State Senator Plays For Sympathy

Federal Budget Spending

She stands against “intimidation” – when it suits her. Democrat State Senator Ginny Burdick, an inveterate gun-grabber and author of several efforts to relieve Oregonians of the burdens imposed by their Constitutional rights, was to hold a “town hall” meeting at Portland State University last night, but at the last minute cancelled the event, citing “scheduling […]

Oregon HB 2306 Aims To Undermine Political Parties In Oregon

Oregon_voter_pamphlet

I do not think it wise to pass HB 2306 for a number of reasons. My understanding is that the effect of this bill will designate all county and city elections as nonpartisan across the entire state, and that it will eliminate the ability of the precinct committee persons in a district to submit suggestions for replacement office holders in the case of a vacancy in local public office.

Frosh Rep On Latest Burdick Gun Grab: “It’s Not Going Anywhere!”

Dateline Portland Oregon February 23, 2013:  Democratic State Representative Ben Unger offers no support for the latest effort by Democratic Senator Ginny Burdick to grab guns from law abiding Oregonians.  Unger made this clear at an informal “COFFEE WITH YOUR REP!” event held at BJ’s Coffee in Forest Grove Oregon.  HB3200 co-sponsored by a number […]

Democrat Townhall Shuts Down Gun Debate

unger_for_featured_image

An eastside Portland townhall put on by state Senator Rod Monroe and state Representatives Jeff Reardon and Jessica Vega Pederson falls apart as they stop taking questions from pro-gun supporters, and they waffle on answering the few questions that had been asked. Mr. Monroe and Mr. Reardon are both sponsors of Oregon’s HB 3200, which […]

Ginny Burdick Lays Out Tactics For Gun Grabbing Advocates

Oregon state Senator Ginny Burdick spoke at the “One Million Moms For Gun Control” rally, February 9th, 2013 ( https://www.facebook.com/events/274285102701019/ ). There, she laid out the plans and tactics that gun grabbers can use to get what they want, which is more legislation based on fear and misinformation. About 100 people turned out for the […]

Between 2015 and 2016, the total population of the San Francisco-Oakland urban area grew by 13,773 people, but the black population shrank by 5,839, suggesting that Bay Area land-use policies continue to push low-income people out of the region by making housing unaffordable. The Austin urban area, to its shame, saw a decline of 4,439 […]
