Rio Plus 20 (I Spy Minute Podcast)

It’s been two decades since the socialists and communists scored a bigger victory over the world than they ever did under Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Mussolini, or any other glorious leader.

It’s the 20th Anniversary of the glorious Rio Earth Summit.

Take a listen: I Spy Minute Thurs June 14 2012

Or read the transcript below:

A week from now, the UN will be in their second day of their latest “Earth Summit”, which they’re calling Rio Plus 20.

Twenty years ago, the UN’s earth summit in Rio produced a massive overreach of government and abuse of individual freedoms, better known as Agenda 21, which is the blueprint for international control of natural resource and the loss of personal liberty.

It also laid the foundation for the “green economy,” creating the means not to save the earth but to extort 100s of billions of dollars from the public and private sectors

The vast majority of all of this goes to fund far left, socialist programs.

Now, Hillary Clinton, that bastion of moderate democrats, will be leading the US delegation to Rio Plus 20…

Where they want to include new demands for “resource justice” and to punish the U.S. for over-using our own natural resources.

By far the biggest target on the list this year is national sovereignty

It’s bad enough we can’t harvest our timber because someone in NY wants to protect an owl they’ve never seen. Just wait until the French add their demands.

Thank you, I Spy! The time bomb is ticking, while too many people are oblivious to the depth of what is happening to America, at the hands of the UN, and the far left, central planning, communist minds in our nation. Referencing one of my favorite quotes:

“History will record with the greatest astonishment, that those who had the most to lose, did the least to prevent it’s happening” –Ronald Reagan, 1964

  • Constitutional Amendment a Must for Balancing State Budget April 29, 2016
The state budget covers two years at a time, so why make budget writers look ahead further? It’s because the decade preceding 2013 often saw legislators propose or make spending choices that would balloon in the next budget cycle. That’s why we will push the next Legislature to ask voters to weigh in on a […]
  • Colorado Weighs Replacing Obama’s Health Policy With Universal Coverage April 29, 2016
The estimated $38-billion-a-year proposal, which will go before Colorado voters in November, will test whether people have an appetite for a new system that goes further than the Affordable Care Act. That question is also in play in the Democratic presidential primaries. The post Colorado Weighs Replacing Obama’s Health Policy With Universal Coverage appeared first […]

    1) In Egypt, thousands of doctors in Cairo turned out to protest after reports circulated that two doctors at a hospital in the capital had been beaten by police. • Simplicity April 30, 2016
Simple is hard—more difficult than cutting diamonds, more back-breaking than mining coal. Of course, complicated is also hard. Nothing good in art comes easy. But we can be deceived by the simplicity of an artwork’s effect, tempted into believing that it must derive from a simplicity of effort. And to all such temptations, there’s really […]
  • Expressions of the People April 30, 2016
We have not ended up where we began, with democracy. Our institutions of government, business of lawmaking, and notions about successful popular rule do not resemble all that closely the storied originals from Athens. Of course, the broad outlines of democracy are still here—elections occur; liberty and rights are invoked—but democracy’s substance has changed. Democracy […]

Tampa-area voters will be spared the expense of having to go through another campaign to build an obsolete transit system in the city thanks to a 3-to-2 vote against the project by Hillsborough County commissioners. • Why the Dollar Works and the Euro Doesn’t April 27, 2016
The Greek debt crisis led some people to wonder why a common currency works in the United States but not in Europe. Then came the Puerto Rico debt crisis. Yet what happened in Puerto Rico actually shows why the dollar works when the euro doesn’t. Normally, a country that finds itself with unsustainable debt can […]
  • The New Feudalism April 26, 2016
Feudalism–an economic system in which all land is owned by the monarch and everyone else must pay rent to use that land–supposedly ended hundreds of years ago. But a map of the world showing the current status of property suggests that it is alive and well over most of the planet. Moreover, a new form […]
